Attach saftey eyes to cake base, glue on felt patches, and add any other desired details. Begin sewing the frosting to the cake using the inside of the scalloped edge. Stuff as you go. Finish sewing the frosting to the cake, and you're done! These guys are quick to make, so make a whole rainbow of cupcakes!!
could you post better instructions, more detailed...thanks
ReplyDeleteWhat are the details that you need? Everything to make the cupcake is there. If you mean pictures to show every step, I really can't stand to do that so it probably won't happen. If you need help with stitches, there are great stitch guides all over the internet!
ReplyDeletenot sure I understand this step:
ReplyDeleternd 6 - *sc in next 3, 2sc around. (30)
Do you mean sc in next 3, 2sc in next. rep around?
Yes, that is correct. I'll edit it to be more clear.
ReplyDeleteok. thank you for clarifying
ReplyDeleteI don't understand rnd 4. Should I start the new round where the stich marker is (sc in the st) or should I sc right where st # 16 is????
ReplyDeleteIt depends on if you put your stitch marker at the beginning or ending of the rounds, people seem to differ on which way they like to mark rounds. I mark the beginning of a round, which means that the new round would begin where the stitch marker is (first stitch of round 3). Stitch #16 is the last stitch of round 3, which means you won't get back around to it until the end of round 4. You just keep crocheting around the whole time, don't turn around the other way or something. Is there any reason why round 4 is confusing you though? Because the process for moving to the next round is the same for all rounds.
ReplyDeletedo you turn the top of the cupcake upside down?
ReplyDeleteNot sure what you mean by that. I guess while you're working on it it would look like it's coming out upside down? You're starting at the top of the top of the cupcake, so what is the bottom while you are working will be the top. Just make sure the correct side of the crochet work is showing when you're all done.
ReplyDeleteI meant turn it inside out sorry
ReplyDeleteIt all depends on how you were holding it while you were working. I don't have to turn them inside out when I make them. But if the starting end of the yarn at the top of the cupcake is on the outside of the cupcake, you need to turn it inside out. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeletesurely on round 3 it would be 18 stitches not 16....?
ReplyDeleteim confuzzled :/
Yes, you're right. I'm not sure how that's gone unnoticed for so long! All the stitch counts are correct after that so it must have just been a typo. Thanks for catching it!
ReplyDeletethankies for clearing that up i really appreciate itxxx :D
