Star Pattern
MATERIALS
-size H crochet hook
-worsted weight yarn in color of choice
-9mm safety eyes
-fiberfill or stuffing of choice
-scraps of yarn for details, if desired
-yarn needle
-stitch marker
STITCH GUIDE
ch- chain
sc- single crochet
sk- skip stitch
dec- decrease
sc3tog- single chain three together- draw up a loop through
each of 3 next stitches. Yarn over, and pull through all 4 loops.
Worked in rounds. Do not join unless stated. Place stitch marker in
beginning of each round to keep track of rounds.
STAR (make 2)
rnd 1 - ch 5 in ring (5) [I use the magic adjustable ring technique
but you can also just ch 2 and work 5 sc into the second chain.]
rnd 2 - 2sc in each around (10)
rnd 3 - [sk next, 5sc in next] 5 times. join (25)
rnd 4 - [sc in next, 5sc in next, sc in next, dec] 5 times. join (40)
rnd 5 - [sc in next 2, 5sc in next, sc in next 2, sc3tog] 5 times. join (50)
rnd 6 - [sc in next 3, 5sc in next, sc in next 3, sc3tog] 5 times. join (60)
rnd 7 - [sc in next 4, 5sc in next, sc in next 4, sc3tog] 5 times. join (70)
rnd 8 - [sc in next 5, 5sc in next, sc in next 5, sc3tog] 5 times. join (80)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing on one half.
ASSEMBLY
Sew or attach details to one half if desired. Align two halves and sew around
most of the star leaving a small opening for stuffng. Stuff star through remaining
opening. Finish sewing together and weave in ends.
